The Scrying Game is part of the legendary quest chain which ends in the player gaining possession of a legendary ring. This particular quest begins just after players have assembled all of the items Khadgar requires from Highmaul. Khadgar asks that the player witnesses his casting of a scrying spell which may help him locate Gul'dan. During the spell, Khadgar is interrupted by an assassination attempt by Garona Halforcen, who leaves him unconscious and poisoned from a stab wound.
