Damone Edwards (born November 26, 1987 in Monterey, California) Is an American football running back for the San Jose State Spartans. He attended Independence High School in San Jose, California. In 2005 he was named First Team All-CCS and ran for 2,687 yards, 37 touchdowns. He went on to play football for San Jose State University, where in three years have already ran for over 5,369 yards. He is said to be the "Next Best Thing" in college football.
