Afua is a male lion cub. During his cubhood, Afua became best friends with Kopa, the prince of Pride Rock. The two cubs had a falling out when Afua met and befriended a cheetah cub named Beba, whom Afua continually compared Kopa to. Though initially distressed by Afua's behavior, Kopa realized that Afua's hurtful comments were unintentional, and he sought to reconcile with his friend.
