Fernando José Torres Sanz (born 20 March 1984) is a Spanish fooller who played for Liverpool for three and a half seasons between 2007-2011. During that time he scored 65 league goals in 102 appearances. In his first season he became the first player since Robbie Fowler to score more than 20 league goals in their first season. He left Liverpool in 2011, joining Premier League rivals Chelsea for a record £50,000,000.
