The town Griart was once known as St. August. The inhabitants changed the name of the town and demolished the castle's bell tower to avoid a massacre by the inquisition after a traveling monk cursed the ruling family for deviating from what he considered good faith. The ruse worked, but in 1994 the town was massacred by a werewolf and the spirits of his kin that had fallen under his thrall.
