The Stitchomat was an invention created by Handy Smurf in the cartoon show episode "Gargamel's Sweetheart". It was an automatic sewing machine that could sew up clothes faster than Tailor could. It was created so that Tailor could have some time to relax from his job, but unfortunately the quality of its work left Tailor's customers with their clothes falling apart. By the end of the episode, Handy dismantled the Stitchomat as Tailor returned to doing all the sewing by hand.
