Completed in 1921 PD and first commanded by Captain (SG) Victoria Armstrong, the Artemis was assigned to first division, Battlecruiser Squadron 106, and sent to the Talbott Quadrant. She also served as flagship of Battlecruiser Squadron 106 and Tenth Fleet, Vice Admiral Gold Peak commanding. Artemis fought in the Second Battle of New Tuscany and the Battle of Spindle.
