The USS Yorktown (NCC-398) was a Yorktown-class starship built in mid 2155. Throughout 2155 and 2156, it did its shakedown in the Epsilon Eridani system. It was the first of its class and participated in the Earth-Romulan War, in 2158, the Yorktown was refitted with the Mark II Photonic Torpedoes and Mark IV Pulsed Phase Cannons. In 2161, it was made the flagship of the 2nd Fleet. In 2168, it intercepted a Cardassian warship in the area of Coridan. It was decomissioned in 2232.
