The Soviets are a playable nation that appear in The Cold War Campaign. They are just like the Russians in gameplay, as the Soviet Union ruled Russia for some time. They have the unique nuclear missle sub, however, which isn't usually buildable in normal games, unless a mod allowing it is used.
