The collection is housed in the former premises of The Automobile Palace Ltd, a famouse car dealership that started off selling cycles initially. Some of the collection was collected by the companies proprietor Tom Norton. The building has references to its cycling heritage in some of the detailing of the facade which is in the Art Deco style.
