The 2002 UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 3, 2002. Sterling Marlin survived a mid-race spin and was forgiven of a pit road speeding penalty, using the last piece of fortune to race to the lead and win his first race of the year.
