Due to his status as pervert, many people of the the DWMA grow annoyed of Spirit's repeated antics. He's frequently punished by a Shinigami Chop and is normally the one to receive such chopping! Many students are uncomfortable with his presence, as he tends to hit on the younger girls in the classroom. Despite all that, however, he's still seen a respectable Death Scythe and instructor at the DWMA. Even with his personality, him being a Death Scythe has never been questioned and many of his friends still hold a lot of respect for him.
