Robin Fryday is a documentary filmmaker. On January 24, 2012, Fryday was nominated for an Academy Award for the film The Barber of Birmingham: Foot Soldier of the Civil Rights Movement. In 2010 Robin started Purposeful Productions, Inc., an entity developed to create humanitarian and educational films.
