A group of primitive people lives in a village on top of a steep-walled butte in Lost Valley. They speak in a language that is strange to both Turok and Andar, but can also communicate using a form of sign talk. When Turok and Andar rescue Yellana, a member of the tribe, she leads them back to her village where they discover that the able-bodied hunters have been missing for two months. Turok, Andar, and Yellana set forth to locate them and find them trapped in a great pit. Turok rescues them with a rawhide rope, and the group eventually makes their way back to the village.
