The kid/master comes from a family that takes care the queens more underground problems things that the normal cops cant handle. The butler is a demon under contract to the kid. The demon has to protect and serve the master until the contract is done or the master dies. In this case it is a matter of revenge. Unfortunately for the demon the kid becomes a demon before either of the two conditions are meet making it so that the demon has to serve the kid for all eternity.
