Charles Gattalia is a former NASCAR driver from New Haven, CT. He competed in fourteen Sprint Cup Series events in his career, garnering four top-tens. Gattalia's debut came in 1951, when the driver finished 54th in points following six starts. Gattalia was quick to prove his talent, making his first start a successful one at Rochester. Starting positions in the field of twenty-four are unknown, but Gattalia drove to a career-best second place finish behind Lee Petty. He also ran well the rest of the year, recording three top-fifteen finishes (including a soild 11th place in a deep field at Thompson), though having some good runs offset by late woes that left him 23rd at Langhorne and 26th at Dayton.
