Davey was a house-slave and cook on the estate of Henry Barford in the United States of Atlantis. When Frederick Radcliff led a revolt on the plantation that snowballed into the Atlantean Servile Insurrection, Davey joined them, and personally killed their owner Barford with a large knife. Radcliff quickly realized that Davey and another slave, Lorenzo, were best qualified to be his lieutenants during their ongoing revolution. Unfortunately, Davey was killed by a shotgun blast to the chest when they attacked the neighboring estate.
