Churchill was born in 1874. (PROSE: The Witch Hunters, Childhood Living) In November 1899, Churchill was a newspaper correspondent in the second Boer War. The Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown saved him from an assassin. The Doctor spent some time with Churchill in a Boer prison before both escaped. Churchill escaped thanks to a Player contact while the Doctor regained access to the TARDIS after it had been taken for study. (PROSE: Players)
