This offshore mine was run by the Offworld Mining Corporation on the planet Bandomeer. The mines were set up on floating rigs in the ocean, and their primary function was to look for Ionite under the ocean floor. The crew of the mine largely consisted of slaves of many species which were guarded by Imbats. In 44 BBY, the abducted Jedi Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi was brought to the mine. However, he was able to escape with the help of the Phindian miner Guerra Derida and Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. After the Jedi had deactivated the locking devices which kept the slaves under the control, the revolted successfully.
