With a wingspan of over 300m, the Ebony Blister-wing is the largest air-borne creature of planet Darwin IV. Like its name suggests, the Ebony Blister-wing is dark brown in color and has large, methane-filled gas bladders on its wings and body, in order to stay aloft. It also has what Barlowe describes as "twin tail booms".
