Alan Marsden directed 12 episodes of Coronation Street from 1990 to 1992. He also worked on the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside, Emmerdale Farm, Granada's soap opera Families, the Schools' Drama Family Tree Detective, and the Documentary strand This England. In 2015 he is gainfully employed as a freelance sports camera operator, mainly with Telegenic.
