Barnstars are awards given on the Wiki for someone you want to give recognition—for putting hard work, doing something that really needed to be done, or just making the wiki a better place to be. The concept of the barnstar as a Wiki award was created by Sunir Shah on MeatballWiki, for "barn raising": doing great work to help build the community. There's no official procedure for determining who gets a barnstar. Just be bold and give one to someone you think deserves one.
