The Men of Hachiman are Men who developed in isolation, cut off by the sea and by the mountains. The Men of Hachiman vary considerably from those on the other side of the mountains, both in appearance and in culture. Their spread is only within the confines of Hachiman and its close islands. There is some evidence of influence from the Isles of the Dawn, to whom the Men of Hachiman have some connection.
