Vulcan T. Smiles, born as Stave Damien, and nicknamed the Smiling Thief, is an adventurer pirate who sails for the fun of sailing without rules. He is the son of the deceased explorer and a tribal chief. He debuted at the age of 17 and is currently sailing the Grand Line with the hope of finding the One Piece.
