Halfback's Bluff was a popular game on the planet Pantolomin. Popular among casual gamblers, it involved betting on a creature called a Pantolomin halfback to retrieve a shiny object from the water. The halfback creatures would wrest the shiny object from the others and return it to the original holder. If no creature possessed it for ten minutes, all bets were canceled.
