Bluddnose was a searat in Captain Tramun Clogg's crew. A great runner, Bluddnose, together with Crableg and Gritter, chased the runaway slaves from Fort Marshank. The searats were about to capture Celandine, who had fallen off the cart, when they were attacked with lances and javelins from an unseen source. Bluddnose was the only survivor of the ambush and firmly believed the squirrelmaid was possessed with magical powers and had slain his companions. Bluddnose was presumably killed in the final Battle of Marshank.
