Bellini(VRRF151) was born in the Rascals on Janaury 2012. Her mother was the dominant female Sancerre and her father was most probably Grus, the dominant male of the Rascals at the time. Bellini was born in a litter of four with one brother named Mojito(VRRM150) and two sisters named Lorna(VRRF152) and Daquari(VRRF153). The pups survived their first four weeks and soon started foraging with the adults. The Rascals were a good size group, made up mostly of young meerkats, however since Bellini's mother was the dominant female, the pups were well looked after. For the next few months there were no pups born in the Rascals. Bellini's brother Mojito strangely went roving in September when he was just nine months old.
