COBRA VIPER troops are the grunts of the COBRA legions. If there's a low-level, down-and-dirty job that needs doing, these are the guys who are sent to do it. They wear multi-layer body armor and wrap-around helmets with built-in radio telecommunications gear, and carry multi-burst laser pistols, commando rifles and gernade launchers. They are assigned to different divisions and locations. Those who display excessive meanness and cold-hearted detachment are given Viper Guard training and assigned to the prison where captured enemies and hostages are kept.
