Alexander "Alex" Freeman was a Federation Starfleet medical technician on active duty in at least the 2260s. He was assigned to the USS Enterprise's Medical department during the latter part of James T. Kirk's first five-year mission as its captain. Freeman and Peter Kirk had been together since their Starfleet Academy days.
