The Cardolanian Northmen were clans of Northrons that had come to Cardolan to serve as mercenaries in the wars against Angmar. They lived mostly in the Tyrn Gorthad, Feotar (or Faerdor) and the Dyr Erib as well as the marshlands around Tharbad. They later also intermixed with the Dunmen and contributed to the Clans of Saralainn. Some of the Northmen of Pinnath Ceren later moved to the southern part of the angle in Rhudaur.
