During the course of the Vietnam War, the United States began to use space-based radar on fast moving satellites, more effectively showing the changes in the landscape of Vietnam and further aiding American efforts against the Vietnamese. This advantage, however, was not enough to win the war, and the Americans withdrew in July of 1975.
