At the beginning of The Path of Daggers, Katerine has just escaped from the Aiel encampment outside of Cairhien, where she was held captive after the battle at Dumai's Wells. At the beginning of Crossroads of Twilight, Katerine is in the village of Dorlan, east of Tar Valon, with Tarna and the Younglings, and separated from Tar Valon by the rebel Aes Sedai army. At the beginning of Knife of Dreams, Katerine is at the White Tower; she is one of the sisters who has captured Egwene.
