Lady Joanna Straites was elected to the Parliament of Kinnimoore in 2002. Upon her election, Straites was appointed to serve as the Minister of Development of Kinnimoore. a position formerly known as the Minister of Welfare. As the Minister of Development, Straites is responsible for assuring the cultural and spiritual growth of the people of Kinnimoore. She is responsible for organizing social gatherings: holiday celebrations, funerals, harvest parties, and the like.
