Emirikol, also known as Emirikol the Chaotic, is an infamous renegade wizard. He was educated in the Ghostflame Spire, a tower near the city of Nera that exists in the mortal world and the Shadowfell at the same time, and is devoted to teaching destructive magical arts including nethermancy, necromancy and pyromancy. After his tutelage, Emirikol left Nera, only to return some years later to kill his former mentor, Zahrimahn, who had tried to monitor Emirikol with shadow magic. Emirikol killed his mentor in a public duel, then summoned a steed of shadow and fled the city, killing all who opposed him with shadow and fire, an event that became legendary.
