Josiah Wembley was a famed Human Federation xenoarchaeologist who lived in the 24th century. In 2369, Wembley worked with the crew of the USS Armstrong in a mission to the Gamma Quadrant. Wembley died during the voyage, but Captain Johnson wanted Wembley to receive the credit for the discoveries the Armstrong crew made and kept his death secret.
