The Battle of Cerro Cora was a battle fought on March 1, 1870 at the hill of Cerro Corá, a ridge north of Paraguay. This battle was the last battle of the War of the Triple Alliance (1864-1870), faced off on one side, 4,500 Allied soldiers and the other, only 250 remaining Paraguayans. The battle site is the Cerro Cora National Park, Distant about 40 km Pedro Juan Caballero, The departmental capital of Amamby (border with Ponta Pora - Brazil)
