MI5 Operative, UK, 1979-present. Crane worked during 1980-88 exposing Eastern Bloc espionage within the British Government. As the Cold War wound down in the late 1980's he was assigned to investigate the activities of Irish paramilitary groups within the British Isles. He has been pursuing NOMAR since its inception and was instrumental in negotiating the release of 14 hostages in 1994 from Manchester market where two NOMAR terrorists had barricaded themselves. Currently, he is the London task force commander of MI5 counterintelligence.
