House Peters, Jr. (1916-2008) played the lead Shark Man in the 1936 Flash Gordon serial. He appears in and , delivering Flash Gordon and Dale Arden to King Kala. Peters was a character actor who appeared in more than 100 films, serials and television series. Peters' serial work includes the 1949 serials Batman and Robin (as a henchman) and King of the Rocket Men (on the side of good, as King's friend Burt Winslow). He also appeared in many television Westerns, including The Lone Ranger, The Roy Rogers Show and The Range Rider, as well as straight dramas like Perry Mason.
