Laura Mason was not primarily associated with Forever Knight fandom, but rather with the Highlander, Lord of the Rings, and Mary Renault fandoms. She founded the Duncan/Methos mailing list, and participated in the Highlander 'Schmarlequin' challenge The Tempering Forge, a predecessor of the Harlequin Challenge. She passed away on March 27, 2009 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
