Brockest is the village located closest to the receding Prim at the edge of the world. Here Maerlyn convinced the inhabitants to forsake Gan and other gods and worship the gods of the Old Ones the can-char and burn one of their own as an offering. At first they were reluctant but soon agreed using Ghostwood as part of the bonfire, and the next year to their happiness the land around them became fertile.
