Bill Gazaway (February 16, 1930 - June 29, 2006 ) was a former NASCAR driver from Atlanta, GA. He competed in one Sprint Cup event in his career. That came in 1960, when Gazaway raced at Atlanta. Tiny Lund was the driver at the time but Bill climbed into the car to start the race.(This he did because being co-owner and head mechanic of this car, he wanted to see what was wrong with it. Also teams received some winnings for beginning the race, but unless they went at least one complete lap they received nothing.) Starting 44th in the forty-five car field, Gazaway only completed one lap before falling out with rear end issues. He finished last (45th) as a result.
