Tarpals was a Gungan Captain in the Gungan Empire during the Invasion of Utapau. Originally a mercenary, Tarpals was hired by Gungan High Councilor Rugor Nass to do his supposed dirty work. Tarpals helped to exile Prince Jar Binks from the Gungan city of Otoh Gunga. Binks also believed that Tarpals helped to set up the Human theft of the Gungan's Kaiburr crystal, an act that led to Binks's banishment as Binks was the one guarding the crystal at the time.
