Chris is a survivor of Oceanic Flight 815. He finds a diary that belongs to Janelle Granger, another survivor of the plane crash (Her entries co-inside with the events of Season 1). After reading through it he finds that who ever wrote the diary was an unstable person and began to think that the events that were happening on the island to be disturbing. He begins to write his own entries in the diary in where he describes the events of Season 2. In his final entry he explains that his brother died on the plane after swapping seats with him.
