The Takara family is the family of Miyuki Takara. It is one of the smaller families in Lucky Star, consisting of Miyuki and her parents, though only her mother is ever seen. The unnamed Mr. Takara is never seen or heard, but Miyuki mentions she gave him Valentine's chocolate in Episode 13, so he does exist. Given the fact that Miyuki's mother doesn't seem to work yet they are very wealthy and can travel overseas every year, it is possible Miyuki's father may be a corporate executive that travels a lot, thus explaining his absence.
