The Last Cough from a Man with Juiner's Lung seems to consider the Old People a separate race, and a race from which Vlad and/or Morrolan already have a friend. Since this race is both old (presumably older than the Serioli) and knowledgeable about Great Weapons, and yet are not Serioli, possibilities include * Sethra Lavode and Tukko, who certainly could be of a different race, and are older than the Dragaeran Empire, or * The Necromancer, which might mean that the Serioli refer to Demons as the Old People, or even * Lords of Judgment, for obvious reasons.
