Terry McGinnis is a student at Gotham City High School, and later becomes the personal assistant of Bruce Wayne, the first Batman. When Derek Powers, the head of Wayne & Powers, Inc., has Terry's father, Dr. Warren McGinnis, killed after he discovered the truth of the top-secret Project GEHENNA, Terry, with Bruce's blessing and training, becomes the next Batman.
