Aketora Byakuren (白蓮明け虎 Byakuren Aketora, lit: White Lotus, Scarlet Tiger) is the current serving Captain of the Eighth Division, being chosen for the position as a result of his own talent and training. Although it should be noted, that despite what would normally be thought for the 8th Division Captain, who is commonly an individual with balanced traits, Aketora's speed is essentially his forte, outclassing his other fields quite easily.
