Amara Kessana was the daughter of Jedi Master Ariel Kessana and Olari Saber Val Kessana. She was the niece of Danyel Orion and cousin to Jedi knights Cryslah Bultar and Jase Bultar. She was trained as a Jedi and knighted after participating in the Jedi operation that routed the Lost Tribe of the Sith from Coruscant. Under the tutelage of Jase and Cryslah Bultar she was trained first as a Jedi Sentinel and later as a Jedi Shadow.
