Wohat was a sixteenth century artist from the Ottoman Empire, and also confidant to Ali Bey, Emir of the expanding Ottoman Empire. Wohat's stone carving pieces include the six Wohat Statues and a carved box in Ali Bey's Palace that housed the Invincible Ruby. Wohat hid a map showing the location of the palace on the underside of five of the animal statues. These same five mammalian statues were also the key to opening the main door of the palace.
