Bill Norton is a former NASCAR driver from Gardena, CA. He competed in four Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning one win and three top-tens. Norton's debut came in 1951, when he competed at Oakland. Starting positions in the field of thirty-two are unknown, Norton ran a solid race and finished 8th. Norton still had a mind to improve that though, climbing steadily in his next two races. He was a solid 3rd at Hanford and then shocked the NASCAR field when he drove to victory at Gardena, leading 19 laps and holding off Dick Meyer.
